GERMIN und der Globale Albaner Stiftung are working together to establish the “Global Albanian Health Professionals COVID-19 Response Team” — a collaborative network of Albanians working in health care, public health and research and involved in the fight against COVID in all corners of the world.  

We invite all Albanian professionals working in the health sector to participate in this 10 minute survey to create a Global Albanians COVID-19 Response Team Network that will provide a concrete opportunity for strengthening the joint COVID response and will contribute to the ongoing response efforts led by the Ministries of Health of Albania and Kosovo.

Germin and the GAF would like to emphasize that this survey is not intended to be exclusive to the Albanian Diaspora.  We strongly encourage participation from those of you who live and work in Albania, Kosova, Northern Macedonia, and Montenegro to participate and be part of this initiative.  We need to build a strong global network since this is the only way to improve cooperation and collaboration for our collective success. 

We have these main objectives:

• Schaffung eines Globalen Netzwerks aus albanischen Fachkräften des medizinischen Bereichs und des öffentlichen Gesundheitswesens, Forschern und anderen im Gesundheitssektor Beschäftigten, die Ideen für politische Empfehlungen und Maßnahmen zur Bekämpfung des Ausbruchs von COVID-19 in Albanien, im Kosovo und in Nordmazedonien entwickeln und einbringen könnten;
• Entwicklung kooperativer Beziehungen zwischen albanischen Fachkräften der Diaspora und öffentlichen, privaten, gemeinnützigen und internationalen Organisationen in Albanien, im Kosovo und in Nordmazedonien.
• Veranstalten von Online-Sitzungen und Podiumsdiskussionen, bei denen albanische Fachkräfte des Gesundheitsbereichs und des öffentlichen Gesundheitswesens, Forscher und andere im Gesundheitssektor beschäftigte Personen zusammenkommen können, um Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Reaktion auf COVID-19 zu diskutieren;
• Entwicklung einer moderierten Online-Plattform zur Bereitstellung von Ressourcen für die Reaktion auf die COVID-19-Pandemie und zum Austausch von Informationen und Erfahrungen aus der ganzen Welt, um die Entwicklung der Handlungsfähigkeit zu unterstützen und die Politik und die Maßnahmen in unseren Heimatländern kritisch zu bewerten;
• Vorbereitung eines Positionspapiers zur Bekämpfung der Pandemie im Kosova und in Albanien unter Berücksichtigung der neuesten Erkenntnisse und Rahmenbedingungen.
