{"id":5968,"date":"2021-07-21T15:17:39","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T15:17:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/germin.org\/?p=5968"},"modified":"2021-07-21T15:17:39","modified_gmt":"2021-07-21T15:17:39","slug":"invest-in-vushtrri-is-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/germin.org\/sq\/invest-in-vushtrri-is-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Invest in Vushtrri is launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On July 17, in collaboration with the Municipality of Vushtrri, we launched \u2018Invest in Vushtrri\u2019, a platform that aims to promote investments and #business opportunities of the city of Vushtrri, and serve as a facilitator of marketlinkages for local and diaspora businesses.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5969\" src=\"https:\/\/germin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ne-tekst.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The launching was followed by a panel discussion with the Mayor Vushtrri, Mr. Xhafer Tahiri, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Mr. Arian Zeka, Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, Mrs. Sytrime Dervisholli, Expert on Trade and Econ. Development, and Mr. Safet G\u00ebrxhaliu, Economist and former chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce. The panelists greeted this activity as a need for local economic development, emphasizing the potentials of the local level &#8211; municipalities to attract foreign\/diaspora direct investments.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mayor Tahiri presented 7 capital projects in front of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">diaspora<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> business representatives and professionals:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vushtrria City\u2019s heating system,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sewage plant,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vushtrria\u2019s gasification program,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eonomic Zone \/ Business Park in Banjska,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The soft loan program,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">City\u2019s public parking,and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Recreation park &#8220;Taraxha&#8221;.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5970\" src=\"https:\/\/germin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/E-treta.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These projects total a value of \u20ac40 million (approx.), and the Municipality of Vushtrri intends to implement them through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). Thus, Mayor Tahiri calls on diaspora investors to express their interest, by guaranteeing them that the municipality will offer very favorable conditions and a safe business environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5971\" src=\"https:\/\/germin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/E-fudnit.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, GERMIN presented preliminary results of a research on the business environment in Vushtrri, which has been conducted through desk-research and interviews with 68 local businesses. Key findings from this research show that there is an increasing trend of business activity in Vushtrri, yet businesses face different challenges such as: inadequacy \/ size of the local market, shortages of the skilled workers, and difficult access to finances.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mayor Tahiri introduced to the participants of this event three strategic investors who are implementing multi-million projects in the Municipality of Vushtrri, such as the \u201c\u00c7i\u00e7avica wind Farm\u201d, which aims to produce <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">renewableenergy<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From now on, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.investinvushtrri.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.investinvushtrri.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will constantly provide information on investment and business opportunities in the Municipality of Vushtrri.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On July 17, in collaboration with the Municipality of Vushtrri, we launched \u2018Invest in Vushtrri\u2019, a platform that aims to promote investments and #business opportunities of the city of Vushtrri, and serve as a facilitator of marketlinkages for local and diaspora businesses.
