Today marks the 135th anniversary of the day when the first Albanian School opened in Kor\u00e7a. This day is celebrated in order to respect the teacher\u2019s figure.<\/p>\n

The opening of the school took place as a result of the Albanian National Movement which aimed to enable national rights within the Ottoman Empire.<\/p>\n

“Teacher’s Day” is celebrated in honor of March 7 in 1887, when the Albanian Renaissance members opened the first Albanian school with a secular character, where all lessons were taught in Albanian.<\/p>\n

Albanian patriots who contributed to the opening of this school were: Pandeli Sotiri, Petro Nini Luarasi, Nu\u00e7i Na\u00e7i, Thoma Avrami.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

GERMIN and Education <\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout its existence, GERMIN has tried to help Albanian youth learn from Albanian Diaspora through experts.<\/p>\n

One of the programs was also DiasporaED. This initiative aimed to engage professionals from the diaspora to share their skills through various presentations, talks and workshops. These activities were attended by about one thousand high school students from 15 to 18 years old, from 10 different municipalities of Kosovo.<\/p>\n

We believe that such initiatives, to educate the younger generations, are very important for the future of our country.<\/p>\n

“How to Be Successful in Life” – by Mark Kosmo (USA)<\/p>\n

“Education and soft skills” – Muhamet Idrizi (Germany)<\/p>\n

“To Stay in Kosovo or to Leave” – Avni Mustafaj (USA)<\/p>\n

“Becoming a Graphic Designer” – Gasper Sopi (Croatia)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Journey of Change\u201d – Mentor Dida (USA)<\/p>\n

“It Is Never Late to Study” – Zymryte Hoxhaj (Germany)<\/p>\n

“Opportunities and Skills of Youth Exchange” – Zymryte Hoxhaj (Germany)<\/p>\n

“Traveling with a Kosovo passport” – Lavdi Zymberi<\/p>\n

“Three diplomas in three languages” – Tring\u00eb Krasniqi<\/p>\n

“Living through art” – Vlashent Sata<\/p>\n
