Our work encompasses advocacy, cultural exchange, know-how transfer programs, and facilitating business-to-business connections. With a decade of experience using technology and virtual channels to engage with the diaspora, we continuously strive to cultivate and enhance our communication channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Communications Officer will execute a range of communication and marketing tasks, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Content Creation:<\/strong> Develop, write, and edit high-quality communications materials such as press releases, blog posts, event summaries, invitations, and social media content.<\/li><li><strong>Social Media Management:<\/strong> Oversee and manage GERMIN&#8217;s social media channels, ensuring engaging and consistent content.<\/li><li><strong>Strategic Planning:<\/strong> Contribute to the improvement of organization-wide communication and marketing strategies, aligning them with GERMIN&#8217;s vision and mission.<\/li><li><strong>Campaign Development:<\/strong> Assist in creating and managing communication campaigns, including fundraising and awareness initiatives, with a focus on creativity and impact.<\/li><li><strong>Newsletter Management:<\/strong> Write monthly newsletters highlighting GERMIN&#8217;s ongoing projects and achievements.<\/li><li><strong>Creative Content for GAF:<\/strong> Create engaging content to support the Global Albanians Foundation (GAF) fundraising efforts and campaigns.<\/li><li><strong>Brand Enhancement:<\/strong> Provide innovative ideas to enhance the presentation of GERMIN, GAF, and the OriginAL program.<\/li><li><strong>Measurement and Evaluation:<\/strong> Track insights and KPIs for communications and social media content to analyze their impact and effectiveness.<\/li><li><strong>Digital Archives:<\/strong> Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos, to support communication efforts.<\/li><li><strong>Additional Duties:<\/strong> Perform other related tasks as needed, contributing to the organization&#8217;s overall success.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Communications Officer will report to GERMIN&#8217;s Co-Executive Directors and the Chair of the Global Albanians Foundation (GAF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Job Prerequisites<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master&#8217;s is a plus).<\/li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Albanian.<\/li><li>5+ years of experience in communications.<\/li><li>2+ years of experience in communications roles within Civil Society organizations.<\/li><li>Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.<\/li><li>Ability to develop and implement effective social media campaigns aligned with organizational objectives.<\/li><li>Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.<\/li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.<\/li><li>Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and Illustrator is an advantage.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Professional Growth Opportunities:<\/strong> Comprehensive opportunities for professional development and growth, allowing employees to expand their skills through capacity-building programs and advance within the organization.<\/li><li>Inclusive Work Environment: A workplace culture that values diversity, promotes equal opportunities, and encourages collaboration.<\/li><li>Meaningful Impact: An opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives that positively impact our communities.<\/li><li><strong>Competitive Benefits Package:<\/strong> Health insurance, a sector-competitive salary, and other perks to support employee well-being.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Process:<\/strong><br>Interested candidates are invited to email their CVs and Letters of Motivation to <a>vacancies@germin.org<\/a> by August 20, 2024.
