<p>We are pleased to inform you that the application deadline for Diaspora Engagement Expert has been extended until December 17, 2023, 23:59 (CET).</p>



<p>GERMIN is implementing the project “Engaging Diaspora for the Advancement of Politics in Kosovo” with the support of Smart Balkans. The primary goal of this project is to improve the policy-making processes in Kosovo through optimizing the diaspora’s contributions. One of the planned activities is the engagement of experts for the engagement of the diaspora to improve the capacity of the policy-making institutions in Kosovo to create and implement effective policies in the function of the citizens.</p>



<p>The Expert for Diaspora Engagement will provide valuable insight and guidance throughout all phases of project implementation, ensuring that the project effectively engages the Diaspora community and addresses their needs and interests.</p>



<p>GERMIN calls on all interested individuals to submit their proposals for expression of interest as an expert for diaspora engagement.</p>

<p>Requested documents should be sent to apply@germin.org – with the title: “Expression of interest: Expert for Diaspora Engagement,” and the last date for application is December 17, 2023, 23:59 (CET).</p>



<p>This call was developed with the support of the “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans” regional project implemented by the Centar za promociju civilnog društva (CPCD), Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) and Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA). <p>We are pleased to announce the initiation of the project &#8216;Diaspora Engagement for the Advancement of Politics in Kosovo.&#8217;</p>



<p>The primary goal of this 16-month project is to improve policy-making processes in Kosovo by optimizing the contributions of the diaspora.</p>



<p>The two main objectives through which GERMIN aims to achieve this goal are:</p>



<p>• Support for advancing the voice of the diaspora </p>



<p>• Use of skills and knowledge for policy development</p>



<p>This project will run until December 2024 and will include various activities inside and outside the country, such as:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Analysis of the needs of the diaspora and identification of problems</li><li>Public discussions in diaspora communities</li><li>Creation of Diaspora Advisory Group</li><li>Virtual meetings and thematic discussions</li><li>Preparation of short thematic policies</li><li>Engagement of diaspora professionals</li><li>Advocacy meetings with responsible institutions</li><li>Creation of a supervisory mechanism</li><li>Development of an Information Campaign in a virtual way</li><li>Final conference</li></ul>



<p>This project is implemented by GERMIN with the support of the regional project &#8220;SMART Balkans &#8211; Civil Society for Common Values in the Western Balkans,&#8221; implemented by the Centar za promencije členi društva (CPCD) in cooperation with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), and the Center for Research and Policymaking (CRPM), and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
