GERMIN is implementing the project “Engaging Diaspora for the Advancement of Politics in Kosovo” with the support of Smart Balkans. The primary goal of this project is to improve the policy-making processes in Kosovo through optimizing the diaspora’s contributions. One of the planned activities is the engagement of experts for the engagement of the diaspora to improve the capacity of the policy-making institutions in Kosovo to create and implement effective policies in the function of the citizens.

The Expert for Diaspora Engagement will provide valuable insight and guidance throughout all phases of project implementation, ensuring that the project effectively engages the Diaspora community and addresses their needs and interests.

GERMIN calls on all interested individuals to submit their proposals for expression of interest as an expert for diaspora engagement.

The primary goal of this 16-month project is to improve policy-making processes in Kosovo by optimizing the contributions of the diaspora.

The two main objectives through which GERMIN aims to achieve this goal are:

• Support for advancing the voice of the diaspora

• Use of skills and knowledge for policy development

This project will run until December 2024 and will include various activities inside and outside the country, such as:

• Analysis of the needs of the diaspora and identification of problems
• Public discussions in diaspora communities
• Creation of Diaspora Advisory Group
• Virtual meetings and thematic discussions
• Preparation of short thematic policies
• Engagement of diaspora professionals
• Advocacy meetings with responsible institutions
• Creation of a supervisory mechanism
• Development of an Information Campaign in a virtual way
• Final conference
