The primary goal of this 16-month project is to improve policy-making processes in Kosovo by optimizing the contributions of the diaspora.

The two main objectives through which GERMIN aims to achieve this goal are:

• Support for advancing the voice of the diaspora

• Use of skills and knowledge for policy development

This project will run until December 2024 and will include various activities inside and outside the country, such as:

• Analysis of the needs of the diaspora and identification of problems
• Public discussions in diaspora communities
• Creation of Diaspora Advisory Group
• Virtual meetings and thematic discussions
• Preparation of short thematic policies
• Engagement of diaspora professionals
• Advocacy meetings with responsible institutions
• Creation of a supervisory mechanism
• Development of an Information Campaign in a virtual way
• Final conference

This project is implemented by GERMIN with the support of the regional project “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Common Values in the Western Balkans,” implemented by the Centar za promencije členi društva (CPCD) in cooperation with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), and the Center for Research and Policymaking (CRPM), and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
