Germin is at the forefront of boosting women’s participation and political representation in Kosovo. Through the innovative “Diaspora for Women in Politics” project, backed by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), we’re embarking on a mission to empower women in Kosovo’s political arena for an additional two years.

Our collaboration spans seven key municipalities: Suhareka, Lipjan, Rahovec, Podujeva, Shtime, Istog, and Vushtrri. In these areas, Germin will leverage the expertise of municipal officials and diaspora professionals as mentors. These dedicated mentors aim to bridge the gap for women across various political parties, fostering a collaborative environment to champion gender equality.

The “Diaspora for Women in Politics” project is designed with a comprehensive suite of activities to deepen our understanding and enhance women’s roles within the political spectrum of small municipalities. This includes conducting targeted research, facilitating online mentoring sessions, hosting engaging Agora-style discussions, and providing capacity-building training. The training will cover essential skills such as project planning, budget management, human resources, and effective social media communication strategies.

By focusing on these strategic areas, Germin aims to create a transformative impact on the political landscape in Kosovo, making it more inclusive and equitable for women. Join us in this journey to empower women and promote gender equality in politics. Stay tuned for updates and progress on this groundbreaking initiative.
