GERMIN Hosts Gender Diversity Training for Local Government

Last weekend, GERMIN conducted a training session titled “Benefits of gender diversity in local government” as part of the “Cooperation between Kosovo and Diaspora: Capacity building of women in politics at the local level” project, supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

The training is focused on:

  • Benefits of gender diversity;
  • Challenges and opportunities from a gender perspective;
  • Identification of individual priorities;
  • Gender responsive budgeting;
  • Intersectionality (Multiple Affiliation);
  • Communication strategies with different actors;
  • Identification of needs in the community;
  • Women’s Bias in Politics and Monitoring and Accountability.

GERMIN is continuing to work on women’s empowerment in politics, where in addition to training, it is also organizing mentoring meetings with mentors from the diaspora and joint thematic meetings.
