Background:
GERMIN is a non-governmental organization whose core principles and ideals are based on the
belief that the Albanian Diaspora must play an extensive and proactive role in the positive
development of all countries in the Balkans where Albanians live.

NGO Germin opens a call for interns (unpaid) part-time, who will engage virtually as translators
of the German language.

Duties and responsibilities of the intern:
● Translation of the content and materials from the Germin website and social media from
Albanian/English language to German language
● Content writing for articles based on request
● Sharing of the Germin news and publications to the Albanian Diaspora community
● Other unspecified tasks as delegated by the supervisors
Criterias that the applicant should meet:
● To be a student or a youngster living in Diaspora
● Age – 19-25 years old
● Good knowledge of German and Albanian language are essential
● Knowledge of the English language is a bonus

For these portions of work, the employee will report to the Germin co-Executive Directors and/or
other supervisors.

Our work encompasses advocacy, cultural exchange, know-how transfer programs, and facilitating business-to-business connections. With a decade of experience using technology and virtual channels to engage with the diaspora, we continuously strive to cultivate and enhance our communication channels. Responsibilities The Communications Officer will execute a range of communication and marketing tasks, including but not limited to: Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit high-quality communications materials such as press releases, blog posts, event summaries, invitations, and social media content.Social Media Management: Oversee and manage GERMIN's social media channels, ensuring engaging and consistent content.Strategic Planning: Contribute to the improvement of organization-wide communication and marketing strategies, aligning them with GERMIN's vision and mission.Campaign Development: Assist in creating and managing communication campaigns, including fundraising and awareness initiatives, with a focus on creativity and impact.Newsletter Management: Write monthly newsletters highlighting GERMIN's ongoing projects and achievements.Creative Content for GAF: Create engaging content to support the Global Albanians Foundation (GAF) fundraising efforts and campaigns.Brand Enhancement: Provide innovative ideas to enhance the presentation of GERMIN, GAF, and the OriginAL program.Measurement and Evaluation: Track insights and KPIs for communications and social media content to analyze their impact and effectiveness.Digital Archives: Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos, to support communication efforts.Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as needed, contributing to the organization's overall success. Reporting The Communications Officer will report to GERMIN's Co-Executive Directors and the Chair of the Global Albanians Foundation (GAF). Job Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master's is a plus).Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Albanian.5+ years of experience in communications.2+ years of experience in communications roles within Civil Society organizations.Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.Ability to develop and implement effective social media campaigns aligned with organizational objectives.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and Illustrator is an advantage.
