On October 13-14, 2023, GERMIN joined the technology conference – KosICT, to facilitate business-to-business (B2B) meetings between local companies and those from the diaspora. GERMIN has invited companies from the ICT sector related to the diaspora as well as local ones in order to promote partnerships.

Participating companies included Mesh COM, AlbiSoft GmbH, OneFor, ALBI GmbH, Stree, LinkPlus, Kungul App, Innovation Academy, ZETA Corporation, Elen, and Incodeks. These industry leaders engaged in two days of intensive B2B meetings, exploring potential collaborations and identifying common areas of interest.

Central to this initiative was the “Municipal Action for Reintegration and Diaspora” (MARDI) project, financed by Caritas Switzerland in Kosovo and executed by GERMIN. MARDI played a crucial role in facilitating these B2B meetings, aimed at enhancing cooperation between diaspora and local businesses.

Through these interactions, companies shared ideas, discovered mutual interests, and laid the groundwork for future collaborations. The overarching goal was to contribute to the growth and development of both diaspora and local businesses.

GERMIN’s proactive involvement in the KosICT 2023 conference, coupled with the success of the B2B meetings under the MARDI project, underscores the significance of fostering partnerships and collaboration within the ever-evolving landscape of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

This dynamic engagement not only benefited individual companies but also contributed to the broader objectives of the MARDI project, fostering economic growth and cooperation between the diaspora and local businesses in Kosovo.
