About Us

Germin is a non-governmental organization that uses technology and virtual channels to connect and engage Diaspora in advancing the development and democratization of their home countries.

MAIN OBJECT OF OUR IDEAS

An object (something – Everything, the face of it) is a technical term in philosophy often used in contrast to the term subject.

MAKING IDEAS HAPPEN

The pragmatist Charles S. Peirce defines the broad notion of an object as anything that we can think or talk about.

TESTING IDEAS IN THE REAL WORLD

In a general sense it is any entity: the pyramids, the number seven, a disbelief in predestination or the fear of cats.

“We strive to explore and bring ICT channels and tools to better facilitate and strengthen linkages between diaspora and their home.”GERMIN
HOW ALL THIS STARTED?

History (from Greek ἱστορία, historia, meaning “inquiry, knowledge acquired by investigation”) is the study of the past, specifically how it relates to humans. It is an umbrella term that relates to past events as well as the memory, discovery, collection, organization, presentation, and interpretation of information about these events. Scholars who write about history are called historians. Events occurring prior to written record are considered prehistory.

WHERE ALL THIS WILL END?
  • In philosophy, ideas are usually construed as mental representational images
  • Many philosophers have considered ideas to be a fundamental ontological category of being
  • Ancient influences have helped spawn variant interpretations of the nature of history
  • The modern study of history is wide-ranging, and includes the study
WHAT IS WAITING FOR US?
  • Work continues to be read today
  • The divide between the culture-focused
  • Herodotus and the military-focused
  • Thucydides remains a point of contention
