Dr. Lenhard Hamza is a political scientist engaged in international development cooperation. He has been placed as an Integrated Expert at GERMIN through The Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM), which is jointly run by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the German Federal Employment Agency.
Between 2019 and 2021, Lenhard was seconded by GIZ as a Development Adviser to the Governance & Development Unit at Rhodes University in South Africa. Lenhard has earned his Ph.D. (Cum Laude) from the University of Vienna, Austria.
In his doctoral thesis, he developed a unique and innovative way to show the benefits and perils of decentralization as a mechanism for solving internal ethnic conflicts, using Kosovo as a case study.
Lenhard brings more than ten years of combined international academic and practical experience in governance affairs.
