GERMIN – one of the leading nonprofit on Albanian Diaspora Engagement – is hosting its second global diaspora conference in partnership with the Global Albanians Foundation (GAF). This year’s conference will be fully virtual, connecting industry professionals, businesses, communities, activists, and experts from around the world to reflect on diaspora engagement in the past 20 years and explore what its foresight role is in the next 20 years.
This year’s conference is curated around the theme “GlobAL2020: Connect. Create. Collaborate”, which aims to explore ways in which Albanians throughout the world have positively impacted and strengthened international cooperation and relations, contributed to the growth of our communities, and made meaningful changes in the lives of those around us. The conference will feature live speakers, panel discussions, exhibition booths, auctions, Q&A series, and networking opportunities.
Diaspora Flet 2020 comes 2 years after Diaspora Flet 2018, which brought together lawmakers, government officials and a diverse group of over 300 Albanian professionals, scholars, community leaders, business representatives, and other interests from 24 different countries. The Conference is part of Germin’s Diaspora Flet initiative that has as its mission to create effective mechanisms and channels for diaspora engagement, and to facilitate a two-way dialogue with public institutions in their country of origin.
